Piece of art in 1:64 scale? – Lamborghini by Hung Hing FEATURETTE

Well well...

...we need to talk! We are absolutely speechless. As the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover. Hung Hing? Another brand from Asia that publishes whatever it wants without the appropriate licences? Yes, admittedly, that's what we thought when we first came across a model from Hung Hing. That was about two years ago at a motor show in Germany. The dealer at the stand raved about Hung Hing and told us that this was just the beginning. This brand is going to make a big splash, especially when it comes to Lamborghini and their latest sports cars and hypercars. We recently came across Hung Hing Collectibles again and decided to give the brand a chance. So we decided on the exotic among the Lamborghinis, the SCV12, as well as a special edition of the Lamborghini Revuelto. And we were left absolutely speachless!

Just like in a showroom: such a detailed model is an asset to any diorama matching the car in every respect.

Better than AR Almost Real and PGM?

They are licensed, they have the Lamborghini shield and all copyrights, they are incredibly detailed and come with openable parts: Hung Hing completely blew us away. The Pagani Zonda R from Almost Real was probably one of the most detailed and beautiful models we have ever held in our hands. The RWB models and Nissan Skyline R34 GTR vehicles from PGM are also examples of absolute mastery in the 1:64 scale. What sets PGM apart is the fact that the bonnet, boot and doors can all be opened. Focal Horizon is also said to be on the way, offering us collectors something similar. With the Lamborghini Revuelto, an event special edition, and this gorgeous Essenza SCV12, Hung Hing is taking on the big boys impressively!

Even the packaging looks very elegant and high-quality. The SCV12 is also part of Hung Hing's Super Car Collection.

Lamborghini SCV12 in a Nutshell

With 830 hp, the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 was one of the most powerful Lamborghinis ever built. However, the second Lamborghini in this article surpassed it with 1015 hp. Lamborghini developed the SCV12 exclusively for the racetrack in collaboration with its racing departments. Accordingly, the body structure consists of only three parts to ensure quick replacement during pit stops. This is where the Hung Hing model comes in, as the rear section, the engine compartment cover, can be removed to reveal the further development of the V12 from the Aventador SVJ, which produced 770 hp.

The SCV12 from Hung Hing really comes into its own when you remove the rear motor cover and can see the motor details. Unfortunately, the mountings are only plugged in and not magnetic.

Suspension, bracing, intake: everything is extremely detailed and visible. It's a shame you can't hear the model, because the Essenza SCV12 is one of the loudest vehicles ever made. With 150-160 dB from half a metre away, it probably blows all previous records out of the water. The Lamborghini SCV12 was manufactured entirely at the Sant'Agata Bolognese factory in a limited edition of only 40 units and costs around Β£2.5 million. The model from Hung Hing can be purchased for a fraction of this price. At just under Β£30, it's a great bargain and easy on the eardrums. The SCV12 also looks great in yellow and feels like a BBR or MiniGT model in your hands, but with more specifications. The Revuelto, however, goes one step further.

Lamborghini Revuelto in a Nutshell

Lamborghini's latest V12 supercar, the Revuelto, combines V12 power with electric drive. The hybrid super sports car delivers up to 1,015 hp, sprints to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and costs around $500,000. As the successor to the last Lamborghini with a naturally aspirated V12 engine, the Aventador, the Italians unveiled the V12 plug-in hybrid Revuelto in 2023 and seem to have struck a chord. After so many years of production and special editions, the Aventador was more than just getting on in years. With the Revuelto, you not only get the fastest Lamborghini ever, but also the most advanced, which is miles ahead of its predecessor. The Revuelto has a lot in common with its predecessor in terms of technology: it also has 4x4 and a naturally aspirated V12 engine with a displacement of 6.5 litres, but with 825 hp (606 kW). However, the combustion engine is additionally supported by three electric motors (one on the rear axle and one on each of the front wheels) and a 3.8 kWh battery. This is noticeable in terms of performance (total 1015 hp and 725 Nm system output), but also in terms of weight. At around 1.8 tonnes, the Revuelto is a good 160 kilograms heavier than the Aventador.

MiniGT Revuelto
Here is a comparison of the Aventador and Revuelto models from MiniGT. Of course, they do not have any openable parts, but they are significantly cheaper than the Hung Hing model.

Therefor, the model from Hung Hing is not quite as heavy. But it sticks in our minds all the more. With a clipper included in the box, we can open the boot, the bonnet, the rear spoiler and even the scissor doors of the Lamborghini. When fully opened, the model looks simply stunning. The special colour of the Event Special Edition model further emphasises the uniqueness of the model. This colour is a welcome change from the orange tones of the Revuelto. It is, so to speak, the vehicle's signature colour.

In conclusion, we can only say that we have been proven wrong here. This alone was the reason why we published a YouTube video about it. Hung Hing has conjured up absolute masterpieces here, above all the Lamborghini Revuelto, which really has no need to hide from the other big players!
