Car Key Garage – BIGGEST MUST HAVE for car enthusiasts?
The idea could hardly be simpler...
...but as is so often the case, you have to come up with the idea first. We're talking about one of the coolest gift ideas for car and model car enthusiasts of 2025: the Car Key Garage, a cool looking box to hold your keys! If you swipe a little through the shorts on YouTube, reels on Instagram or videos on Tiktok, you've probably already come across this cool gadget by chance. Because this product is currently on everyone's lips on social media, and not just from this manufacturer. There are now several suppliers on the market and you can also buy the 3D file itself so that you can make your own creations with a 3D printer. In this article, however, we are talking about a specific product, namely that of Isaiah Jones, better known on the web as Pixel Moto. Link at the bottom of the article.

So why leave the car key on the kitchen table instead of attaching it to a really cool accessory? These 3D-printed wall-mounted garage and key holder are the ultimate way to add a fresh twist to the entryway suitable or for Hot Wheels and all 1/64 scale car collectors with other models such as Hot Wheels too! Inspired by automotive wooden shipping crates, this 3D-printed key holder offers a playful and functional way to interact with miniature cars everyday while complimenting traditional home decor. The garage door springs open automatically as soon as you hang your keys on the hook, making every arrival a fun surprise. The door closes once keys are removed. You can customize it with any of your favorite cars, creating a unique display while keeping your keys organized.
Isaiah's visions and realisations

Isaiah Jones is an industrial designer with a background in robotics and aerospace. His love for design and engineering has always been rooted in his passion for cars and motorcycles, especially Ducati’s and sports cars with V8s. He lives in Los Angeles, California, a city that’s perfect for a car enthusiast and Hot Wheels collector like himself. When he officially started Pixel Moto in February 2024, he wanted to create a brand that would speak to car and motorcycle lovers like himself. His goal is and has always been to integrate play into daily routines so people don’t have to go out of our way to have fun. As we get older, we have less time to play with toys so making the toys come to you during everyday routines became his inspiration. This spirit of combining function with a little bit of fun is what drove him to design the Hot Wheels Key Holder. At the time, he didn’t have a fancy key holder – just a few nails on the wall for his girlfriend and his keys. The problem? It looked tacky, the keys kept marking up the wall, and honestly according to him, every key holder he came across was boring. Meanwhile, his Hot Wheels collection had grown to over 150 cars (in their packaging), but like most collectors, they were just sitting in boxes in a closet. (Which is absolutely not in out case as you should know meanwhile).

That got him wondering, “How can I interact with my Hot Wheels without setting up a track or doing a photoshoot?”. That’s when the idea for a Hot Wheels Garage hit him. He imagined something that would sit on a desk that could display and store cars. But he wasn’t satisfied with just that – he wanted it to be fun too. He needed a way to seamlessly integrate the key holder into his daily life in a way that felt natural and playful, without making it feel like a hassle.

One day, while looking across the room and seeing his keys hanging on a nail, the light bulb went off! The garage for the Hot Wheels could also serve as a place for keys – a cool way to combine both. Then to one-up that idea he thought "what if the garage door opened like his garage door does everytime he comes home". With his background in industrial design and robotics, he dove into designing and building his very first prototype. It wasn’t perfect, and honestly, it was a little janky according to him – he used a piece of string to connect the garage door to the hook so it would open when the keys were hung. But it worked (kind of), and it was the first step toward something better! After a few days of refining the design and figuring out how to make everything more reliable, he was onto something special. For the aesthetic, he wanted the cars to feel like they were arriving for delivery in a wooden crate like cars that are shipped from different countries. Digging more into the mechanical design, he wanted to make sure that, if this product ever became popular, he could assemble them quickly, cheaply, and efficiently. Fast forward a few months of sales and helpful feedback from customers and that’s how the Hot Wheels Key Holder came to life – a fun, interactive way to combine his love for Hot Wheels with a practical, everyday item.
