Tarmacworks Pagani Huayra R – A revolutionary FEATURETTE

Beyond the limits!

Another Pagani which is exclusively developed for the race track: With the Huayra R, the Italian sports car brand presents, in its own words, the "most extreme Pagani of all time". Just like the Zonda R shown in 2009, the hardcore version of the Huayra is built only for the race track and comes with a completely newly developed engine, the Pagani V12-R.
850 hp and 750 Nm of maximum torque at a top speed while 9000 rpm meet a kerb weight of only 1050 kilos. The only components that have been taken over from the "normal" road-going Huayra are the exterior mirrors.

Compared to the Huayra R, the Zonda R looks almost well-behaved in the background

The rear of the Huayra R is particularly striking. It has a completely open design and is dominated by the characteristic, central four-pipe exhaust. This exhaust SHOUTS around 140db, which is equivalent to a jet engine. The V12 screams its head off, making even the biggest car fans reach for earplugs or risk tinnitus. The vehicle is so loud that the Huayra R may only be driven on racetracks where there is no noise limit - or needs an additional silencer in order if the client ask for it.

"Customers wanted a naturally aspirated engine back".

At this point, the legitimate question may arise why the Huayra R relies on a naturally aspirated engine when all other Huayra models are equipped with the V12 biturbo? According to Pagani, the answer is simple: customers want a naturally aspirated engine back - and the uncompromising Huayra R, which does not have to bow to any restrictions or regulations, is the perfect project for this. A decisive advantage is the emotion: Horatio Pagani's design models were the legendary Le Mans racing cars of the 1960s/70s such as the Ferrari P4, Ford GT40 and, of course, his personal favourite, the Porsche 917.

An expensive tool...

Pagani will build 30 examples of the Huayra R, twice as many as of the Zonda R - and six times as many as of the even more radical Zonda Revolucion with 800 hp. The Italians put the price at 2.6 million euros plus taxes, which makes the Huayra R one of the most expensive track cars in the world. The Huayra R has been sold out for a long time. Especially since customers are not allowed to drive the Huayra R everywhere due to a lack of road approval and partial non-compliance with corresponding regulations. But Pagani has a solution for this too: following the "Ferrari way", the Italians have launched the so-called "Arte in Pista" programme, in which customers can drive their treasures on selected racetracks worldwide with the help of official Pagani support.

Huayra R joins the Zonda R family

After several Zonda R and Zonda Revolucion models from Tarmacworks (scroll down to the "you may also like"-section to read the article), the Hong Kong-based company is also launching the brand-new Huayra R successor. This comes in the basic specification, as it was already shown at the new presentation of the original vehicle. The main colour black with golden accents and the Italian tricolour on the side air intakes are just as impressive as the massive rear wing, which provides extreme downforce. In keeping with the Global64 principle, a model type designation specially formulated by Tarmacworks, we can also look forward to rubber tyres and rolling wheels! An absolute MUST HAVE for car lovers currently availabe at tarmacworks.com and in our webshop!

"Leonardo in the Renaissance, so about 500 years ago, claimed that art and science can walk together hand in hand and so when I read this saying from Leonardo it opened a new window for me a world that I wanted to explore."
