The ultimate chance to build Paul Walker’s / Brian’s Toyota Supra MK4 from Fast and Furious – Our Review
More than a legend:
If someone were to ask us which car and which actor reminds us most of the Fast and Furious series, the one that made us fall in love with the franchise... It would have to be Paul Walker and his unmistakable bright orange Toyota Supra MK4 from the very first F&F movie. The 10-second car that Brian owes Dom for a lost race and redeems with Dom at the end. The Supra is an absolute icon and proof of how sought after the fourth generation Supra is on the car market today. For many, a real Supra on a 1:1 scale remains wishful thinking, unfortunately. But, as is so often the case, there are now extremely interesting ways of putting Paul Walker's Supra in your living room. Not life-size, but still more than impressive in 1:8 scale. And the best thing is that it doesn't just arrive ready to go, but you can build it yourself step by step in the style of Fanhome kits. Thanks to Fanhome, you can do what was done in the first Fast and Furious part yourself.

Do you remember?
"You owe me a car," Dom said to Brian, reminding him of the debt to be paid for losing the race. No sooner said than done. Shortly after, Brian appeared in Toretto's garage/workshop and his group (family) of friends, with a GMC tow truck carrying a demolished, burnt, abandoned, unusable Supra... or at least, so it seems... because its 2JZ engine, once the hood is opened, will leave everyone speechless. "What the hell is this?" "This is your car," Brian declared. There begins the story of the Toyota Supra Mk.IV and Fast & Furious, already appearing in the first film of the saga, when the pillars of all the films were established: action, speed, adrenaline, and... family, but not the traditional family, rather the chosen family, and it will be precisely friendship that will make them always loyal, sincere, and fair to each other. Although the Supra that arrives in Toretto's garage is a standard car, the modifications that will be made will turn it into a car capable of running faster and better than a Ferrari, and on par with Dom's Dodge Charger R/T, where only fate or the randomness of destiny will allow a Supra to beat a Charger. That scene is a true face-to-face duel, worthy of the most beautiful Western films.

In the film, the engine is never shown, nor did Universal need to develop it, but this has not prevented—thanks to contact with fans and tuning experts (some used by Universal itself) - the reconstruction of a 1:8 scale replica, identical to the plans of that car for the film, all supervised and approved by Toyota and also by Universal. Thanks to these expert contacts and Toyota itself, it was possible to scan a real car, piece by piece, filter by filter, spark plug by spark plug, creating a scale car worthy of occupying a prominent place in the collections of Fast & Furious fans, and in particular, of all motor enthusiasts in general.

The Supra MK4:
The unmistakable design and exceptional detail of this model capture the essence of one of the most iconic and spectacular cars in the franchise — a must-have for true fans and collectors! The Toyota Supra Mk. IV featured in The Fast and the Furious (2001) is one of the most iconic Japanese sports cars of the 1990s. Especially in this version here: 2JZ-GTE Engine mit 550hp, Holley Performance NOS bottles, roll cage, vinyl graphic deco, GT-Style rear spoiler and Bomex bodykit. A model especially admired for its powerful engine and potential for performance modifications. Even today, people are still fascinated by this vehicle. With this kit, you have the unique opportunity to experience all the hidden details and special features of the vehicle up close. Because in the movie itself, many things can only be seen for a fraction of a second. All the better, this model scores with numerous specifications such as engine and horn sounds, illuminated dashboard and interior lights, stitchcraft seats faithfully replicate the ones seen in the iconic movie, detailed interior, including Sparco steering wheel, NOS bottles and much much more! This model is suitable for both beginner and experienced modelers, as well as any fan of the greatest street-racing movie franchise of all time! By the way the die-cast metal parts and ABS injection mouldings are all high quality and gladly painted already from the factory, ready for assembly!

The ultimate kit car in 1:8 scale:
We have kindly received the first package from Fanhome. This includes the first assembly parts stage 1 and 2 as well as the two matching magazines and a promotional brochure with even more information about the model itself. Everything is clearly listed on the website so that you know exactly how much you are paying per package. You can see how the subscription works in detail on their website, which we have linked at the end of the article! As we said, each package comes with a magazine, which, in addition to the building instructions for the corresponding kit, provides you with more information about the Supra MK4 by Paul Walker as well as more information about other vehicles. This is a very clever move, because it means that car fans who don't like JDM muscle cars, for example, will also get their money's worth!

The magazine itself is intelligently structured. The first pages begin with "Toyota Classics", where you can find out more about Toyota's automotive milestones. Explore the origins, evolution, and achievements of three of Toyota’s most emblematic models — Such as the Supra, the Celica, and the Corolla. Three timeless global icons of the automobile industry. Toyota can look back on a very very long and impressive history. So many classics have rolled off the production line since 1937 that we can count the milestones on several hands! Such cars are described in the magazine as "Momorable Models", where you can discover great cars that left their mark on automotive history as well as their specs, performance, evolution and success. Of course, there are also insights into the history of Fast and Furious, stories about tuning in the franchise, the people behind it, the vehicles, anecdotes and the VIBE behind it from Part one in 2001 to the tenth part in 2023 called Fast X. Reading these articles instantly transports us back to the 2000s, automatically forcing us to watch the movies again. As die-hard Fast and Furious fans, this is not too difficult for us.

And then, of course, comes the centerpiece. The final pages describe the construction steps, which are covered step by step and make us feel like we did in Part 1, when Brian and his team put the Supra MK4 together piece by piece. The progress of the building steps themselves is limited. This is because the construction phases are presented in manageable chunks per magazine. So you don't get several bags of parts and a book packed with instructions at 300 pages or more, as with Lego, but rather in an organized way you clearly understand what is going on. You follow the detailed, step-by-step assembly instructions to build your scale model and learn from it. With color images and practical tips, you can enjoy the assembly process from start to finish.

In conclusion, we can say that the model looks very promising in the pictures and videos. Especially with the attention to detail, the sheer size and all the great features, this piece of movie car will appeal to many fans, we are sure of that. It is all the better to see that, especially in today's rapidly advancing digital age, car building kits are still an integral part and will hopefully remain so in the future. Fanhome made it possible!
