SNT Sniclo Racing 1:64 3015 Atom Series – The experience driving over our own car!
Have you ever wondered what it feels like to drive over your own car? Yep, you've read it right! No, this is not a joke! We are completely serious. What does it feel like to drive over your own car with an RC car that is smaller than a computer mouse? That's exactly what we wanted to find out, because you have to come up with something like that first. But if an RC car of this size can do it, then only the SNT 1:64 3015 Atom Series from Sniclo can (and his RC-brothers, but more about that later on). The company Sniclo Racing (also previously known as SNT) has been producing a variety of RC cars for a number of years, which have continued to develop over the years.

We have been involved virtually since day one and have been able to see for ourselves how much the RC models and the company as a whole have developed. What once began with small speedsters with a tooned look has now developed into highly professional vehicles that are better in every aspect than their predecessors. Whether it's the improved battery life, the haptic feedback with the improved remote control and additional operating elements, or the camera and goggles themselves. Camera? Goggles? Yes, these are one of the many very special features of the SNT models.

How it feels like driving in FPV
Just like the 3015 Atom Series, the entire product range of the SNT family can also be ordered as a complete set with camera and goggles on request. This makes it possible to control the car in FPV (First Person View) from a first-person perspective. The image is provided by the camera on the roof of the car. By adopting advanced video transmission technology and high-performance cameras, SNICLO can achieve almost zero-latency video transmission, allowing you to feel the speed and handling of the vehicle in real time during the driving process. The camera therefore constantly provides a sharp image and reproduces all movements smoothly. This is also necessary, because otherwise it can be a real pain.

But we must also point out at this point that the soft suspension makes the vehicle wobble much more than the normal road versions. While these models from Sniclo Racing literally stick to the road, the 4x4 models sway when driving, which also has an effect on the camera. Although the smoothly transmitted image did not cause any nausea, the minor fluctuations were clearly recognisable. However, thanks to this phenomenal manoeuvrability, the new ATOM model can cope with bumps extremely easily. Also included in every box are numerous stickers, even a scent tree to match the other Sniclo Racing vehicles.

More highlights in a nutshell
The lighting is another highlight. The simulated lighting of the ATOM model is based on advanced LED lighting technology, which is able to simulate the lighting effects of the headlights, tail lights, brake lights and other lights of real vehicles. The simulated lighting system makes the remote-controlled car much more realistic.

The question often arose as to how power-hungry the model is. In any case, the manufacturer states that it can be driven for around 1 hour without the camera and 30 minutes with the camera on top. This was also necessary, as we were able to put the vehicle through its paces within the 30 minutes and climb our mountain several times. To be more precise, it was our Subaru BRZ that had to act as the mountain. And to start with: it was great fun!

The bumpy ride over our Subaru
Thanks to the solid rubber tyres, we didn't have to worry about scratching the car with our action, but were able to get started straight away. The good gear ratio of the RC vehicle also allowed us to overcome slippery surfaces, which would not have been possible with the regular Sniclo vehicles. This is because the other versions would have failed miserably when climbing the windscreen at the latest, dedicated to the regular models without 4x4. Climbing the bonnet was therefore an easy target, followed by the ramp over the windscreen wiper. The windscreen was mastered cleanly, so the slight roof slope was just a formality. Rolling down the rear windscreen was also absolutely problem-free.

Sniclo offers an extremely good range of mini FPV vehicles of all types and sizes, whether in the 1:64 or 1:43 range. The vehicle variants could hardly be more diverse. From the Mini Van to the R35 and 370z, VW Golf, Ford Mustang or Ford Focus, everything is included in the road vehicles. We also have Nissan Patrol, Lada Niva and Jeep Wrangler off-roaders at the start! None of them are licensed, but they are a 1:1 replica of their great role models. With the new 3015 Atom Series, another model has joined the Sniclo Racing family. The range of vehicles has therefore become even broader and you are already spoilt for choice as to which model should be the next to whizz through the living room or across the kitchen table. You'll want to have them all and be excited to see what other clever technical refinements Sniclo Racing will come up with next!
