Now…what colour is it?

People tend to argue when it comes to define a precise colour definition. One family member claims it is burgundy, while another person is absolutely sure that it has to be rosewood, although the car is actually carmine red! Midnight Purple presents people with a whole new set of challenges! Because depending on the sunlight or artificial light, depending on the angle and the shadows, the paint turns green at one moment and suddenly switches to dark purple at another.

By mixing pigment powder in a certain process, the colour changes due to the factors mentioned above. It is all the more ingenious when this colour is worn by one of the most legendary cars from the Land of the Rising Sun: The Nissan Skyline GTR R34, nicknamed the Godzilla of Japan.

1:64 scaled masterpiece...

Therefore it’s an absolute pleasure to welcome this piece of art in the 1:64 scaled family by INNO64 which is originally known for high class premium models in terms of race cars. This INNO64 model embodies the best of the best: A 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R V-spec in famed Midnight Purple II, sitting on the perfect set of wheels for a JDM icon – bronze RAYS Volk Racing TE37s. In general for the real 1:1 car, we talk about 282 Midnight Purple II V-spec cars, along with the 285 M-spec Nür models that were produced in various colors which makes it super rare!

Without a doubt, the name „Skyline“ holds a fascination all its own. No matter with the real vehicles in 1:1 format (I own an R33 myself and know very well the indescribable feeling when you make a kid’s day on a bike, sees you, points at you and yells ‘Skyline!’) or simply as a fine 1:64 scaled collection of Skyline models at home which lets you smile and forget about the tough day you had at work.
