Koenigsegg Agera R, RS, ONE:1 – The King of Sweden FEATURETTE

The most powerful super sports car!

The Agera R from Koenigsegg was one of the stars of the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
With its 1115 hp, the Koenigsegg had to admit defeat to the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport (1200 hp). A 5.0 litre V8 mid-engine on only 1330 kg was an absolute challenge! Around 1.4 million Euros had to be put on the table for an Agera R. After the CC models, which really launched the Koenigsegg brand internationally, the Agera R was the next big thing from company founder Christian von Koenigsegg.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the Agera R as a Hot Wheels model in numerous variants, such as black (hypercar diorama set), red (from the film Need for Speed), white unis (shown in the picture below) and white with Gumball paintwork. In terms of original cars in 1:1 scale, a total of 53 Agera were built from 2011 to 2018, including five Agera S, 18 Agera R, 25 Agera RS and three Agera Final.

Elitist meets exclusive!

To underline the exclusivity, Koenigsegg offered its customers, for an additional charge, to give their vehicles their own names and to choose their very own design. Thus, of the 25 new Agera RS customers, basically every single one owned a very exclusive one-off. This explains the wide variation in names, although officially there are only five different Agera models. Tarmacworks released some of these Koenigsegg Agera RS special models around 5 years ago, which are directly tailored to the original customer vehicle.

For example, the model is also adorned with individual lettering on the side panel of the rear spoiler, such as "RSR", "XS", "RSN" and the corresponding additional name on the side air intake. In addition to this RS1, Tarmacworks naturally released the Agera RS with the colour combination of the first delivery as well as the then record-breaking 2017 vehicle in cherry red. The Koenigsegg RS could also be fitted with the One:1's performance-enhanced engine on request. This delivered 1360 hp to the rear axle.

Power amplifier!

If the Agera RS wasn't aggressive enough performance-wise, you could also order the Agera as a One:1! The colour accents for individual customisation were less in the foreground, rather the improved performance data and the reduced weight. One to One literally stands for 1360 kilograms meeting 1360 hp, a 1:1 weight ratio that was unparalleled! This at a time when electric assistance was still in its infancy. The One:1 in scale 1:64 were produced under the name Koenigsegg itself without a direct manufacturer's name. HKM also produced the Agera One:1 in various colour versions. As before, the version from VMB64 is and remains our favourite, as it scores with even more details and confirmed licences.
